Jason Brunell's Taxidermy

Prices: Furbearer

One important aspect to understand in the Furbearer pricing category is “Starting at” prices.  This is a guide to give clients an understanding of estimated costs.  Features such as open mouths, size of animal, habitat options, even what form a client selects can alter pricing.  After discussing the details of a client’s mount, I will give an exact price.

Furbearer (FULL BODY) pricing explained:

When working with any full body mount, I normally have more conversations with clients throughout the selection process than any other type of mount.  There are multiple reasons for this.  Furbearer mounts are not as common as other types of taxidermy mounts, such as, whitetail shoulder mounts.  Therefore, manufacturers do not make as many styles and sizes on forms for them.  This means I need the exact measurements to order the correct form for your trophy.  After I understand what you want, I search different manufacturers to find out what is offered and contact you with what I find.  I send pictures to your email or cell and we discuss if a certain form is to your satisfaction.  This process allows me to keep prices down.  If I cannot find a form a client likes I can make anything a client wants through “form alterations.”  This is a process of restructuring a standard form to the correct size and style a client wants.  This always increases the price of a mount.  Call with any questions in regards on this process.
